an angel called lulu

Georgia & I grew up across the street from each other… so she’s more like a sister than a friend. Only we don’t fight anymore like we used to! So this shoot was very special. When I got the news that Georgia & Sean had had a girl I was so thrilled because George is such a girly girl and I knew she’d love having a daughter. They named her Louise but she has the nickname Lulu (and boo boo!) and those of you who know me, know I have a Lulu too & love that name!

Sean is besotted with his little angel… you can see it in his eyes. She’s already got him wrapped around her little finger. We had a great time doing these photos… it was more like a catch up than a photo shoot. We started in their beautiful home & then Sean walked Lulu to the park while Georgia & I drove (we didn’t want to walk back up the mammoth hill)!

Lulu is SO cute… every time we put her on her tummy her arms went straight out. It seems she just wanted to fly. And in the time I was there, she didn’t grizzle once. Talk about THE perfect model! And I love how attached she is to her Sophie giraffe. I love Sophie!

After we’d finished they (force) fed me up before I headed off to a meeting. What are friends for! Georgia makes a mean potato salad!

George & Sean, I’m so happy you asked me to do your photos. I hope you love them x

forever after

Do you remember that torrential rain in March? Well Cara & Johnny’s wedding fell right in the middle of it. It rained and it rained… and it rained some more. I was so worried for Cara on my way to her family home but I needn’t have worried at all because when two people promise their lives to each other it doesn’t matter what the weather’s doing. Rain didn’t stop the love that day. Nothing could have wiped the smile off Cara’s face. She was radiant. And John was clearly besotted with his bride. The wedding and reception were held at John’s family property and the surroundings were absolutely stunning. Their guests partied long into the night and everyone had a ball.

Cara & John, thank you for inviting us to share in your special day x

p.s. My wonderful & talented friend Eraldo Sauro shot this wedding with me and some of the photos in this post were taken by him.

I met Rubie & Emma back in October when I was at the Jinky Art retreat in Bungendore. My dream was to shoot a little girl playing in an open field as the sun went down. And, well… I got my wish! When Emma & Rubie arrived I was so excited. Bungendore is such an inspiring place, worlds away from the busy city life and to be able to shoot Rubie while she played in the field with her red balloons was magical. Emma & Rubie, it was so lovely to spend time with you. I hope you like the photos x

Megan Callaghan - April 12, 2011 - 10:42 am

I’m sure that beautiful Rubie will always remember the day these wonderful photos were taken as it shows in her face the joy and fun she was having. I love the way the clouds and sun appear to be inside the balloons in the first shot. You have done it once again ! xxx

Such beautiful photos, you do such a great job.

coogee beach babe

Soraya spends lots of time at Coogee Beach with her Mum & Dad and it was for this reason that Denis & Ludmilla chose it for their shoot. It had to be one of the busiest days of the year… Sunday the 2nd of January! But the hustle & bustle is all part of Coogee and people being in the background didn’t phase this laid back family. It’s what Coogee is all about!

Soraya is little miss independent and full of character. Such fun to chase around. And I adored the outfits (and accessories!!) that Ludmilla dressed her in. I hope you enjoy this little snapshot of your shoot guys x
